Weighted hammer action feels like a piano, semi-weighted does not, and graded action is heavier at the bass end the way a real one is. Two boards at the same price can be entirely different instruments, so read what the action is rather than what the sounds are, because you can add sounds and you cannot add feel.
Play every key, and listen rather than look. Actions wear, and the first sign is noise: a thump or a click as a key returns, long before anything stops sounding. Ask for a video running the full length of the keyboard slowly. A single dead key is a repair that often costs more than the instrument is worth secondhand.
Find out whether it has speakers. A stage instrument deliberately has none, because it is built to go through a PA. If it is for a living room and you do not already own amplification, that is a real cost on top, and it is the most common surprise when buying a professional board cheaply.
The pedal and the power supply go missing. Many use a proprietary power brick that costs real money to replace, and the pedal that ships in the box is often the small plastic switch rather than a continuous one that supports half-damper. Ask which you are getting.
Shipping is the reason some are cheap. An 88-key board is long, heavy and easy to damage, so many sell for collection only and the good prices are local. Read the freight before deciding anything is a bargain.

These are second hand prices, listed by sellers as used or pre-owned, taken from live eBay US listings in US dollars. In collectible categories a sealed or unworn item is sometimes the cheapest genuine listing, and it is included. The same number works both ways: it is what a buyer pays today and the resale value a seller can realistically ask. Every model also carries a price history, the daily record kept since tracking began, which is the part to read before you buy or resell. On a day when a model has no listing that passes these filters, its row keeps the last price we recorded rather than inventing one, and drops off this table if that goes on for more than a few days.
Under each model is the actual listing that price came from, so you can see whether it is the thing you want or a bundle, a variant, or an accessory that happens to share the name.
