Biggest used price drops right now

Half of all used prices swing 10% or more in a month, so the day you look decides what you pay

We record the cheapest live price of every product we track, once a day. Across 1,805 used products over the 30 days to 2026-09-21, 53% swung by at least a tenth between their high and their low, and 13% swung by more than half. Only 20% never moved at all. And the market as a whole went nowhere: the median product ended the month at +0.0%, so none of this is a falling market, it is the same market on a different day. Waiting for a good day is worth a median 4.5%, and 13% for the top quarter of products.

Method: the figure behind every row is the cheapest live listing we could find that day, which is not the same as a market price: it moves when a seller cuts a price and also when a cheaper seller appears. For a buyer those are the same event, which is why the swing figures are quoted as what you can pay rather than as what sellers did. Spread is measured on models with at least 20 days of history; the median change is a separate pass over models priced at both ends of the window, so nothing appearing or disappearing can move it, and it is a median because the tail is fat (the mean is +2.3%). Six categories are excluded because this site's own step detector attributes their move to a configuration change rather than the market, led by eleven acoustic guitars falling together on one day.
