Converters, calculators, a few generators. No login, no cookie-banner circus, no ten ads stacked before the actual calculator. You click, it works, you leave. That's the whole pitch.
usefulHQ is a collection of small, single-purpose web tools: calculators, converters and a few generators that each do one job and get out of your way. Every one runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere, and there is no sign-up, no app to install and no wall of ads between you and the answer. The idea is simple: the tools you reach for once in a while should load instantly, work on a phone, and not try to sell you anything.
The calculators cover the everyday money, health and time questions that come up more often than any single one deserves a bookmark: working out a percentage, a loan repayment, a due date, a pace, a tip split, how much your electricity costs. The converters handle units, currencies, colours, time zones and cooking measures. The developer utilities format JSON, encode Base64, generate UUIDs and hashes, and explain cron schedules. Where a tool benefits from a bit of background, each page includes a short plain-English guide to the thing it calculates, so you can understand the number, not just read it.
Nothing here is padded out to keep you clicking. If a job takes one field and a button, that is all you will find. Tools are added when they are genuinely useful and kept up to date rather than left to rot. If there is something obvious missing that you would use, it is probably worth building, and that is how the list has grown.
