How to buy used safely. The number that matters is the total including shipping, which we add up for you. Then check the seller's feedback (shown on every listing), whether returns are accepted, and whether the Fitbit is confirmed working. Favour listings with photos of the actual device and a note that it powers on. Remember eBay's Money Back Guarantee covers you if it arrives faulty or not as described. Prices refresh live from eBay and are cached briefly, so they are current to within a few minutes.

How to buy a used Fitbit

Battery life is the thing that fades. A Fitbit's selling point is going days between charges, and that shrinks as the sealed battery ages, so ask how long a charge lasts now. The battery is not user-replaceable, so a tracker that needs charging daily is near the end of its useful life whatever it looks like.

Confirm it is unpaired and check the charger. The device must be removed from the previous owner's Fitbit account or you will struggle to set it up, so ask them to factory reset and remove it. Fitbits use proprietary charging cables that differ between models and are easy to lose, so make sure the correct one is included, as buying the right cable separately is a hassle.

Mind discontinued models and worn bands. Some older Fitbits have been retired and lose app features over time, so check the model is still supported. Bands wear and can harbour grime but are cheap to replace, so a tatty strap is not a reason to walk away. Confirm the heart-rate sensor and screen work, as those are the parts that matter.

Value. Fitbits depreciate quickly, so a recent supported model with good battery life can be had for well under half of new.

Common questions

Where are these prices from?

Live eBay listings, the largest source of used Fitbit trackers. Pick a model and it fetches the current lowest-priced listings in real time.

Is it safe to buy a used Fitbit?

Yes. Favour high-feedback sellers, prefer devices that are confirmed working, check whether the band and charger are included, and lean on eBay's Money Back Guarantee.

How much cheaper is used vs new?

Usually 80-90% below retail. Newer models hold value longer; older generations drop sharply once new ones launch.

What should I check first?

Total price with shipping, seller feedback and sales count, returns policy, confirmed working status, whether the band and charger are included, and battery health if mentioned. Real photos matter.

Which Fitbit has fallen furthest

Each tracker as a percentage of its launch price. Fitbits fall harder than anything else on this site, at a median of 23 per cent, and the pattern is plainly age rather than anything Google did to the app: the 2015 and 2016 models sit between 8 and 20 per cent of launch while the 2022 and 2023 ones sit between 30 and 51. A Charge 2 at 8 per cent works out around twelve dollars, less than a replacement band costs, so on the oldest rows the real question is battery health rather than price. Cheapest by model, at a glance

A daily snapshot of the lowest genuine eBay price for every model we track, and how good that price is right now versus its usual level, updated automatically. Prices last refreshed 12 October 2026. Tap a price to see that model's cheapest listings on eBay, or tap a model name for the full live list here.

These are second hand prices, listed by sellers as used or pre-owned, taken from live eBay US listings in US dollars. In collectible categories a sealed or unworn item is sometimes the cheapest genuine listing, and it is included. The same number works both ways: it is what a buyer pays today and the resale value a seller can realistically ask. Every model also carries a price history, the daily record kept since tracking began, which is the part to read before you buy or resell. On a day when a model has no listing that passes these filters, its row keeps the last price we recorded rather than inventing one, and drops off this table if that goes on for more than a few days.

Under each model is the actual listing that price came from, so you can see whether it is the thing you want or a bundle, a variant, or an accessory that happens to share the name.

"Off retail" compares today's used price with what the model costs new. For anything still on sale that is its current new price, so the figure is close to a discount you could really get. For anything no longer sold it is the last new price we have on record: on a boxed product like a LEGO set or a console that is the RRP, and on a part like a graphics card it is nearer what new stock was going for at the end than what it cost at launch. So on older hardware read it as depreciation against late retail rather than against the original sticker. A few rows read "above" instead: they cost more used than new, which is normal for a retired set or a part nobody makes any more.

Over the period we have tracked, this category is up 1.7%, while the used market as a whole is down 0.3%. See the Used Price Index, which is built from these prices and published as a free CSV.
