What secondhand prices did over August 2026, from 7 August, when the index starts, measured from the cheapest genuine used listing for each of about 1,962 specific models on every day of the month.

Every category
Categories with fewer than 8 models on the last day are left out, because one listing would swing them. Each figure is that category's own chained index over the month.
9 categories marked mostly on moved most of the month in one or two days. A category index moves 2% in a day only about once in eighty days, and when it does it is more often the collector matching different listings than a change in what things sell for, so those are left out of the lists above.
How to read this
It is a cheapest-listing index, so it tracks where the floor of the secondhand market sits rather than what a typical buyer pays. It is chained day to day, and a single-day move of more than 25% on one model is discarded as the collector matching a different listing rather than a price change. This page is written once, when the month ends, and is not revised afterwards. The daily figures behind it are in the CSV, and the copy on GitHub has a commit for every day, so any number here can be checked against the day it was recorded.
